Coloring Down The Lines - Real Red

Hello Friend!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog.  Her card is so precious.  Don't you agree?  If you started here on my blog, don't worry, I can get you to the beginning since I am the last on the blog hop.

Now, as you can see (or not), I did make my card but when I went to take a picture, my card in my digital camera is full.  Rrrrrr.  This is so frustrating!  However, I can tell you what it looks like and give you the list of my Stampin' supplies that I used.

I made the card with Very Vanilla base.  Then I added a layer of Real Red, then added a layer of Very Vanilla.  I used the Magnificent Maple Stamp Set and stamped around the smallest Very Vanilla layer using Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie.  Then adhered it all together with SNAIL.  I then used the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment Thank You in Real Red in the center of the card front.  And that is it!  The card actually came together pretty quickly this morning.

Today, I decided to do a sketch challenge.  The sketch came from Tammy over on Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Just as soon as I saw the sketch, the Designers Series Paper (DSP) came to my mind.  Here is the sketch I went by:

And here is what I came up with:

Tell what you think.  This card was actually pretty quick and fun putting together.  It can be easily made in multiples once all of the DSP and card stock has been cut.

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Pumpkin Pie

Hello Friends!

Thank you so much for hopping over to my blog from Sandy's blog.  She has nailed our challenge this week with her creation!

If you are starting here on my blog for the blog hop - don't worry.  I am the last stop and I will help you get to the beginning.

This week we are showcasing Pumpkin Pie.  In using our Color Coach under Pumpkin Pie, Stampin' Up! has given us two choices:  Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point and Real Red or Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso.  I chose the second option.  I am really pleased how my card turned out this week.  When the new Annual Catalog came out and I saw the stamp set called Gorgeous Grunge, I fell in love with it.  Now, you are probably thinking that I am usually the "grunge" type, but this stamp set just popped out of the page and said "get me"!  Well, I did!  :-)

What do you think of my card this week?  To get the multi-color on the maple leaves, I first stamped the Magnificent Maple stamp in Daffodil Delight and using my Stampin' Sponge, I dipped it into the Pumpkin Pie ink and dabbed the sponge around the leaf.  I also stamped the envelope using the same technique.  The Stampin' Sponges are a terrific deal because you get three huge round sponges in the pack and I cut them into eight wedges each.  That way I designate a wedge per color in our color palette.

My Stampin' Supplies

  • Stamp Sets
    • Gorgeous Grunge
    • Magnificent Maple
    • Oh, Hello
  • Card Stock
    • Pumpkin Pie

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Pacific Point

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over to my blog from Sandy's blog.  I love her creation with the different stamps and pops of color she used.  Don't you agree with me?

If you are starting here on my blog, don't worry, since I am the last on the hop, I will get you started at the beginning so you can enjoy all of our very talented demonstrators creations.

Today, we are showcasing Pacific Point.  In using our Color Coach, the colors that Stampin' Up has picked for us to use (I just love how Stampin' Up! coordinates everything for us) are:  Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie or Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry.  Would you believe I didn't pick the first combo using Melon Mambo?  I actually picked the second combo for my creation today.  We have had so much rain this summer so I wanted to create something with a sunny and tropical feel.  I also did the Triple Time Stamping Technique.  I have not used that technique for quite sometime so I thought, why not.  I was actually inspired to do this technique when my downline used it for her swap at our demonstrators meeting that we had this past weekend.  Thank you, Karla!

How do you like my creation today?

My Stampin' Supplies

  • Stamp Sets

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Old Olive

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog.  I love her technique that she used on her card today.  Sandy, will you teach me how to do that technique?

If you are starting on the blog hop here, don't worry.  I am the last on the list so when you finish here, be sure to click over to Robbie's blog to see her and all of the other super creative ladies blogs.

Today, we are showcasing Old Olive.  We used our Color Coaches to see what color goes with Old Olive.  We have two choices:  Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie or Old Olive, Crushed Curry, and Soft Suede.  I chose the second set.  To be honest with you, I am not too happy with my creation today.  It needs something.  But it is clean and simple.  I do like using this technique where you use the Stampin' Write Markers directly on your stamp.  It makes me feel like a real artist.

What do you think?
