Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Always Artichoke & River Rock

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog.  I love her card with the different cuts with the framelits and the textures from the embossing folders.

If you are starting here on my blog, not to worry, since I am the last participant, I will get you back to the beginning.

Today for our blog hop, we were to use just two colors - Always Artichoke and River Rock.  If I am not mistaking, this is the first time I used these two colors together and I kinda like them.  Wouldn't you know it, River Rock is one of the colors that are leaving us.  While thinking of these two colors, the stamp set called Lean on Me popped up in my head.  Here is what I came up with:

What do you think?  This card really came together rather quickly.

My Stampin' Supplies

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Cherry Cobbler and Riding Hood Red

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog.  I just loved her butterfly card along with that fabulous background.  Sandy, I am going to be asking you to teach me how to do that technique.

Now, if you are starting here on my blog, not to worry, since I am the last one, I will get you back on track.

The colors that we used for our blog hop this week was a challenge in itself.  I really only use reds at Christmas and Valentine's day.  But, I did come up with an idea for you.  My creation today is a 3"x3" card.  It will be perfect for a small thank you note.  Sorry for the pun.  Anyway, I used the direct to stamp technique (my favorite).  Using this technique makes me feel like a real artist.  Here is what I came up with:

Please tell me what you think.  I am thinking it could actually be a masculine card or even a card for a teenager thanking them for mowing your yard.

My Stampin' Supplies

  • Stamp Sets
    • Beyond Plaid
    • Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Card Stock
    • Cherry Cobbler
    • Crumb Cake
    • Very Vanilla
  • Classic Stampin' Ink Pad
    • Cherry Cobbler
  • Stampin' Write Markers
    • Cherry Cobbler
    • Riding Hood Red
  • Adhesives
    • SNAIL
    • Stampin Dimensionals

Be sure to hop on over to Robbie's blog.  She really created an awesome card.

Just a quick note:

I will be posting the discontinued list next Wednesday right here on my blog.  If you see anything you would like to purchase, be sure to place your order that day so you would have a better chance of getting what you want.

Thank you for visiting today.  I enjoy reading your comments below.  Please come back again tomorrow as I will share with you the swap card I made for our demonstrators group that I won a roll of beautiful ribbon with.

Until then...

Happy Stamping,
Teri

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Elegant Eggplant & Perfect Plum

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog. She created a gorgeous card this week.  I love all of her layers.  If you started here on my blog, not to worry, since I am the last one, I will get you started at the beginning.

This weeks colors were a challenge in itself.  I typically don't reach for the purples.  As many of you know, pinks are my main colors.  So, without further adew, here is my creation:

I am actually impressed how my card turned out.  To get this look, I stamped the Swallowtail stamp with Versamark and followed up by embossing with Basic Black Embossing Powder.  I then took my Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Marker and colored in different areas and then wiped it off with a paper towel.  And you have it.  I believe this technique is called Emboss Resist.

My Stampin' Supplies

  • Stamp Sets
    • Swallowtail
    • Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Cardstock
    • Elegant Eggplant
    • Perfect Plum
  • Classic Stampin Ink Pads
    • Elegant Eggplant
  • Other Ink
    • Versa Mark
  • Accessories
    • Embossing Buddy
    • Heat Tool
    • Stampin' Embossing Powder - Basic Black
    • Modern Label Punch
    • Word Window Punch
  • Adhesives
    • SNAIL
    • Tombow Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue

Are you ready to go to Robbie's blog?  She really has a beautiful creation for you today.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.  I enjoy reading your comments below.  Please come back again soon.

Until then...

Happy Stamping,

Look At This!

Hello Friends!

Boy, do I have a lot of information for you from Stampin' Up! home office!  Grab you a cup of coffee or soft drink and get comfy.

First, the sad news:

WATERCOLOR PENCILS AND CRAYONS DISCONTINUED

Due to unforeseen problems with our supplier for Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils, we have decided to discontinue these two products.

Watercolor Pencils (item# 101879) and Watercolor Wonder Crayons Brights Collection (item# 119804) which have been of the Backorder Report for about a week, will no longer be available, effective immediately.  If your order has not been shipped due to its status in backorder, we will not be able to fill it.  We will soon begin processing refunds for those items.

Now for the good news concerning the Watercolor Crayons!  We still have the remaining collections of the Watercolor Wonder Crayons available to order.  The Subtles (item# 119802), Neutrals (item# 119805), and Regals (item# 119803).  Collections are only available while supplies last.  Get'em before they're gone!

Now, I do have good news!

FREE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING FOR THREE DAYS!

We're excited to let you know that we are offering FREE shipping on EVERYTHING April 6-8 (excluding expedited orders)!  That's right!  There are no minimums or limits and all order types qualify.  Did I mention that the free shipping is on everything?

Remember, free shipping starts tomorrow Saturday, April 6, 2013 and ends on Monday, April 8, 2013; 11:50 pm (MT).

DO YOU DREAM IN COLOR?  WE DO!

Announcing our Color Refresh!  We love color and we know that you do too.  Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer.  It's important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!

Why now?  In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend.  Well, it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In-Colors from previous years)!  We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Old In-Colors / New Color

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc...) will be available only while supplies last.  This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period.  We did anticipate increased demand and based on our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions.  However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone.  Now is the best time to get all of your favorites while we have supplies and free shipping!

Well, that is all of the news I have for now.  If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me anytime.

Thank you for visiting today.  Please come back again soon.

Until then...

Happy Stamping,
Teri
