Coloring Down The Lines - Raspberry Ripple

Hello Friends!

Thank you for joining me from Sandy's blog.  Wow, I love that technique she used on her card.  It adds just the right amount of colors to make her card pop.  Great job, Sandy!

If you are starting here on my blog, no worries, since I am the last stop this week (we miss you Tracy), I will get you back on track so you can enjoy everybodies creations.

This week is another new In-Color called Raspberry Ripple.  We could choose to use either Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, and Pretty in Pink OR Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, and Perfect Plum.  I chose the last one.  This is actually a feminine birthday card.  I started to add the sentiment on the front but decided that it would take away from the look I was going for.  I also stamped a partial amount of the focal point on the inside and stamped the outside of the envelope.  Here is what I came up with:

What do you think?

MY STAMPIN' SUPPLIES

  • Stamp Set

Until then...

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Primrose Petals & Hand Stamped Sentiments # 151

Hello Friends!

Brrrr, baby it's cold outside!  Yesterday on my way to work, the temperature was 8 degrees!  It is not supposed to get that cold here in Southwest Virginia.  Oh, well, all the more reason to snuggle up to my card stock and ink pads.  Tee hee!

Today is blog hop day!  Thank you for joining me from Sandy's blog.  Her card is absolutely beautiful.  The focal image is perfect for the color combo she used.  If you are starting here on my blog, not to worry I will get you back on track so you can see everybody's creative talents.  We are to use our Color Coach and the main color this week is Primrose Petals.  As you know, I am crazy for pink and I just love this color.  It is a 2012-2014 In-Color.  We can pick either Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, and Basic Gray OR Primrose Petals, So Saffron, and Baja Breeze.  I gave myself a triple challenge by using the first combo meaning I used the Summer Starfruit.  This is a very difficult color for me to use for some reason.  I have seen very beautiful projects using this color though.  Also, I used the sketch challenge over on Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Here is the sketch I went by:

Dude, You're Welcome! Kit

Hello Friends!

Today I am introducing the kit that we all have been asking for - a new, very manly stamping kit: the Dude, You're Welcome kit.

Guys don't always have the easiest time expressing themselves, but with the Dude, You're Welcome kit, they'll have
  • Four wood-mount stamps (double-mounted) with the perfect sentiment for every occassion
  • Twelve 4"x6" postcards in four different (manly) colors
  • Twelve gray envelopes
  • A Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
  • An instructional guide (for the most novice stamper!)
  • Item # 132807 - Dude, You're Welcome Kit - Price $24.95
Basically, the kit includes everything a dude needs to create the perfect manly card (he will need to borrow your SNAIL) that any woman would adore, all packaged in an appropriately masculine box.
I am ordering one for me (because I love the clean and simple possibilities) and one for my husband, Dave so he can be initiated "into the world of stamping"!
Now, click to watch this hilarious video:

Hello Friends!
As you can tell by my title, it is blog hop day.  Thank you for joining me here from Sandy's blog.  I have not had a chance yet this morning to see Sandy's project yet, but I am sure it is totally awesome.  If you started here on my blog, I am the last stop so I can get you back on track to viewing everyone's creations.  There is a LOT of talent here on this blog hop.
Now, this week we are showcasing the color of Midnight Muse.  This is one of the beautiful 2012-2014 In-Colors.  In using our Color Coach we can choose one of two combos for our project this week.  Our choices were Midnight Muse, More Mustard, and Rich Razzleberry OR Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue, and Cherry Cobbler.  I chose the first combo.  Here is what I came up with:

I have not played with my Aqua Painter in quite sometime and thought I would use it today.  To get this really easy and beautiful look, I stamped the focal point with Midnight Muse on Watercolor Paper.  Then used my Aqua Painter filled with water and just start coloring.  And that is it!  Seriously!  I really like this look.

Feeling Sentimental - Sneak Peak #2

Hello Friends!

Today I used another stamp in the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set (will be available during the Sale-a-bration starting January 21, 2013).  I absolutely love this set - it is very versatile.  As you know, I am a clean and simple gal, but today, I did a small dab of vintage.  I should have sponged my edges around the focal point and sentiment.  Of course, I decided this after I posted my pic.  Tee Hee.  I also added the focal point stamp on the inside of the card and the front of the envie.  Here is what I came up with:

Papilon Potpourri

Hello Friends!

Now that Christmas is over, I am now ready for spring and bright cherry colors.  I made a card using one of my happy colors.  Can you guess what it may be?  Well, if you guessed pink, you are right! To create this card, I stamped the larger floral butterfly onto the First Edition Specialty Paper, then punched out the image using the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I saw a card similar to this and am sorry I do not remember who created it.  I did change the color and added a few personal touches so I can call it my own.  I also stamped the envelope to coordinate with the card:
