Coloring Down the Lines - Sahara Sand

Hello Friends!

Thank you for hopping over from Sandy's blog. Wow, what an awesome vintagy (is that a word) card!  I love it, Sandy!

Now, if you are starting here on my blog, don't worry, I will get you back on track since I am the last one on the hop.

This week, we are showcasing the beautiful neutral color of Sahara Sand.  I am so glad this color is moving over to the new 2013-2014 catalog.  Speaking of catalog, one of the many perks of being a demonstrator, I already have my catalog and have put lots of sticky note tabs on the goodies that I want to purchase this year.  Look out bank account!

In using our Color Coach, the Sahara Sand card says that the coordinating colors will be Bravo Burgandy and Pink Pirouette or Pacific Point and Cajun Craze.  I decided to use the second option.  Last Sunday was our demo meeting and the theme was to make a card with no layers.  If you have not tried it, please do.  I would love to see what you come up with.  I have been wanting to say this:
"Look Mom, no layers!":

What do you think?  Instead of using a layer of Sahara Sand, I just sponged the edges of my Very Vanilla card stock with Sahara Sand.

Great idea, Teri, to just use the ink... never thought of that! I love the way you used the stamps on this! Simple and pretty!!
