French Foliage Designer's Series Paper

Hello Friends!

Our wonderful hostess, Donna for our morning chat over at Butternutsagedesigns has issued us another challenge.  Donna wants us to create our own DSP and use it on a single layer card.  I took this challenge head-on!  I really enjoyed watching my colors and images come to life.  I first want to show you what I started out with:

Just a plain piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Now, abbra caddabra...

***POOF***

What do you think?  I LOVE it!  I used two different techniques to make this sheet of "dsp".  I used the Rock and Roll Technique with the stamps and the Masking Technique for the Modern Label Punch.  I drew circles and colored them in to look like Brads and drew lines from the punch to resemble Linen Thread.  I also sponged around the edges and on the card stock.

My Stampin' Supplies

  • Stamp Sets
    • French Foliage
    • Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Card Stock
    • Very Vanilla
  • Classic Stampin' Ink
    • Crumb Cake
    • Lucky Limeade
    • More Mustard
    • Pumpkin Pie
    • Rich Razzleberry
    • Soft Suede
  • Stampin' Write Markers
    • More Mustard
    • Soft Suede
  • Accessories
    • Modern Label Punch

I hope you enjoyed my creation today.  If you would like to play along with the challenge, just hop on over to Donna's blog and click on the Morning Chat Challenge tab and follow the directions.  The deadline for this challenge is Saturday, October 6, 2012.  Also, if you would like to join us for chat, you are more than welcome!

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I enjoy reading your comments below.  Please come back again soon for another visit.

Until then...

Happy Stamping,

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Pretty in Pink

Hello Friends!

It's already Wednesday and that means it is Blog Hop Day!  We are now starting the Subtles collection.  I tell you what, using Subtles when your mind is more geared to Regals is a challenge on its own.

If you are starting the blog hop here, no problem.  I will get you hooked up so you can enjoy all of our creations.  If you are new, we decided several months ago to do a blog hop using our Color Coach and use a new color combo each Wednesday.  It has been lots of fun.

If you entered from Sandy's blog, we surely have been missing her as she has been away on vacation.  She has not left her mojo on vacation, her card is awesome!

This week, we are to choose one of two combos for Pretty in Pink.  The choices were:
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Certainly Celery
  • Bashful Blue
or
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Marina Mist
  • Daffodil Delight
I chose the first combo.  Before I show you my card, I want to apologize for sharing this card. This card is certainly not one of my best.  So, with that being said...

Yeppers, this was a very quick and simple card.

Chattanooga Swap

Hello Friends!

Sorry I have been MIA for the past several days.  I went with a bunch of wonderful ladies down to Chattanooga, Tennessee for a Stampin' Up! Regional this past weekend.  Let me tell you, I had a fabulous time getting to meet, swap, share, get inspired with some of the most awesome ladies!  If you are a demonstrator and a regional comes to your area, please don't hesitate to sign up and go; if you do, you'll be glad you did!  I still have goosebumps!

This is our gang that went: starting from the left: Kavi, AnnMarie, Jane, Betsy (Kavi's sister), Lisa, Me and Kaye.  This picture does not show "flat Carolyn, but she is on the table between the two candy dishes.  We took "flat Carolyn" everywhere with us as she was unable to go with us personally.  We surely did miss having you there in person, Carolyn!

Today, I am going to share with you one of the many swaps I recieved from this past weekend.  This card front was made by Trish Kolarik of Greenville, South Carolina.  I tried to look her up to see if she has a blog but was unsuccessful.  Trish, if you are seeing this and you have a blog, please post your blog address in my comments so we can follow you.  Thank you for your swap!

Thank you for coming by for a visit today.  I enjoy reading your comments below.  Please come back by again for another visit soon!

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Rose Red

Hello, Friends!

Today is Wednesday and that means it is Blog Hop Day!  We are starting a new Color Suite with Rose Red which is in the Subtles Group.  If you got here via Helen's blog, did she not have a beautiful creation?  She is our newest blogger in our group and she has really came through with shining colors - don't you agree?

If you started here on my blog, don't worry, I will give you the links to make the full circle for this week's blog hop.

The color for this week is Rose Red.  Now, let me tell you, this is one of my most favorite colors.  It is soft yet bold.  We had two groups to choose from and they are:
  • Rose Red
  • Not Quite Navy
  • River Rock
OR
  • Rose Red
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Baja Breeze

I chose the second group of colors:

You don't know what that is?  First off, we did not want the children having all the fun with having new school supplies!  We are giving away ($8.95 value) for FREE one spool of the 2012-2014 In-Color 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon for any $40 order (before shipping and tax).  There are five different colors to choose from:

Hello Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Gosh, you can really "feel Fall in the air".  I actually turned off my AC yesterday since it was cooler outside than inside my home and opened up the windows.

Today I am going to share with you a creation that designed using leftover Window Frames from my Demo Make and Take.

This is a CAS (Clean and Simple) card.  After you have cut, embossed and inked your elements, it is a breeze to put this baby together.  This card is perfect if you need to make a bunch.

    • Mixed Bunch
    • Itty Bitty Banners
  • Card Stock

Coloring Down The Lines Blog Hop - Garden Green

Hello Friends!

Thank you for coming in for a visit with me today from Helen's blog.  Boy, I sure do like all of her layers and textures.  Helen's card is surely "eye pleasing".  If you did not arrive here via Helen's blog, it is Coloring Down The Line's Blog Hop!  Our color this week is our last color in the Regals Collection is Garden Green.  We needed to choose one of the two following color combos for our project for today:
  • Garden Green
  • More Mustard
  • Chocolate Chip
OR

I decided to use the second combo for my card today.  I needed to design a birthday card for a very special lady in my life (Happy Birthday, Mom - I love you) and combined two "challenges" into one card.  Are you proud of me Robbie?  Tee Hee!  Also, I challenged myself to use as many punches in one project as possible.  I actually came up with 7!  Can you name them all?  I will give you the answers in my Stampin' Supplies List below.

I also used the clear heart shaped Bitty Buttons in the flower centers with Baker's Twine tied into a bow behind the button.  You can click on the pic to see a close-up.

Wonderfall Friends

Hello Friends!

Today I will be sharing with you my swap I made for our Demo meeting this past Sunday.  While I was coming up with the idea, I asked my hubby what he thought the textured area looked like.  He said "it looks like burlap to me".  Ding ding, we have a winner!  That is exactly what I was going for.
Tell me what you think...

I really enjoyed using our new Autumn Accents Bigz die and the Wonderfall Stamp Set.  Something I have discovered though, we have always been taught was to stamp first then cut or punch out.  Not in this case.  You will need to cut out your shapes with your Big Shot then using your Stamp-a-ma-jig (item # 101049).  This little baby is awesome!  What, you don't know how to use it or you have bought one a long time ago but have not taken it out of the box?  Please let me know and I will be glad to meet with you and within 5 minutes you will LOVE IT!

A NOTE FROM THE HOME OFFICE

The Fancy Flower Punch (item # 110873) shown on page 185 in our Annual Stampin' Up!
