Lean On Me

Good morning, Stampers!

I thought I would surprise you with a new technique today.  However, the technique has been around for quite a while and remember doing as a child; I wanted to try my hand at it again.  It is called watercoloring.  I used our Aqua Painters.  The Aqua Painters come in a two pack.  These tools are very versatile in giving you a very controlled watercoloring experience.  The kit comes with two refillable reservoirs, a medium brush tip and a large brush tip.

Here is my recipe for today:
  • Stamp Set
    • Lean on Me
  • Card Stock
    • Not Quite Navy
    • Watercolor Paper
  • Stampin' Up! Classic Ink
    • Real Red
    • Not Quite Navy
    • Garden Green
    • So Saffron
  • Stampin' Write Marker
    • Blushing Bride
  • Staz-On
    • Timber Brown
  • Accessories
    • Mini Brads
    • Stampin' Dimensionals
I hope you like my card today.  If you would like more information on this technique, please don't hesitate to contact me via email @ teribstampinatgmail.com.

Please leave your comments below - I enjoy reading them very much.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!

Coloring Down The Line Blog Hop - Tempting Turquoise

Good Morning, Stampers!

Just a quick side note before we continue on our blog hop, I appologize for not posting for the past couple of days as I have been a bit under the weather.  Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.

Wow, was not Sandy's card just beautiful?  If you did not arrive her via her blog, make sure you click on her link above to see her card!

We decided to have a blog hop using all of the colors in the color coach.  We are to make a project using the main color which this week it is Tempting Turquoise.  The other two sets of colors would be Real Red and Tangerine Tango or Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie.  I chose the first set of Real Red and Tangerine Tango.  I also wanted to change it up a bit and do a gate fold card:

The pic above is the card closed.  It will fit into a square envelope  The next pic is the card opened:

Embellished Events - Merry Christmas Gift Tag

Good morning, Stampers!

Today, I am continuing the showcasing of the new stamp set Embellished Events.

I decided to change the stamp around a little.  Instead of having HO HO HO underneath Santa's hat, I stamped Merry Christmas, then I inked up just the HO HO HO and stamped it in different places.  I also "blinged" it up by using Dazzling Diamonds.  When you use Dazzling Diamonds, be sure to turn off your ceiling fan before using - ask me how I know.  LOL!

Here is my recipe for today:
  • Stamp Set
    • Embellished Events
  • Card Stock
    • Whisper White
    • Real Red
  • Stampin' Write Markers
    • Real Red
    • Garden Green
  • Accessories
    • Baker's Twine - Whisper White
    • Dazzling Diamonds
    • 3-Way Glue
I hope you have enjoyed my gift card today.  Be sure to stay tuned as I will continue showcasing this wonderful and versatile stamp set.

Until next time...

From My Heart

Good morning, Stampers!

Wow, it is hard to believe it is Friday already.  I hope you have had a great week of stamping and crafting.

Today's card is a masculine birthday card.  I don't know about you, but making a masculine card is a challenge for me.  For this card I used the brand new stamp set called From My Heart from the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog.  This set is very versatile and has lots of images and phrases.  It is actually a two case set!

Here is my recipe for today's card:
  • Stamp Set
    • From My Heart
  • Card Stock
    • Early Espresso
    • Whisper White
  • Accessories
    • Bakers Twine
      • Early Espresso
    • Button
      • Neutral Suite
I also sponged the edges around the Whisper White on the front and on the inside to give it a worn look.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  Please leave your comments below.

Until next time...

Rolling Thunder Part 2

Good morning, Stampers

As promised last week, here are some more pics of our trip to Rolling Thunder in Washington, D.C. on Memorial Day weekend.

The above three pics are of The Wall.  I strolled down and just looked at the names, boy what feeling of sadness and appreciation all of the men and women that lost their lives in order for us to have our freedom.

This pic is of the Washington Memorial taken from The Wall.  The fellow in the CMA shirt on the lower right is my hubby.

Here is another truck in the Pentagon parking lot.  The following pics will be of motorcyles in just one parking lot at the Pentagon.  It was said that 3 parking lots were filled.

Here is our chapter booth below.

The above pic is inside our booth where we gave away chips, nabs, candies, cakes, ice cold water and coffee.  A few years ago, we started the PB&J ministy where we also make pb&j sandwiches and gave out for free.  Last year, we took 10 loaves of bread and we came back with a full loaf.  This year, we took 12 loaves of bread and all of it was gone in 30 minutes!  I believe we will take more next year!  The sign in the back says "Thank you, Veterans".

This is the back of our booth.

Keepin' the coffee makers goin'.

Here is my wonderful hubby, Dave standing with our chapter flag.  Dave is also our chapter President.

And to end my trip to Rolling Thunder 2012, here is a pic of the bagpipe marching band.

I hope you have enjoyed some of the pics that I took.  Please feel free to leave your comments below.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!

New Firm Foam Ink Pads

Good morning, Stampers!

Today, I am going to share some important information about the new Firm Foam Ink Pads.  Now, what is the difference between these two flowers?

I did a side by side comparison (above) in Primrose Petals (Firm Foam Ink Pad) and Rose Red (our previous ink pad style). I used the same light handed tap on both images.  If you are saying "wow!" to these beautiful results, take note that if you purchase the Firm Foam Ink Pads by color collection, you'll save over 15%!  Individually, the ink pads are $5.95 each.

Important Update:

The ink pad color collections (Brights, Regals, Subtles) will be temporally on back order due to a packaging issue and will begin shipping the week of June 11th 2012.  However, you CAN include these collections on order now :-)  ALL individual colors are currently available and ready to ship.

What Makes The New Pads So Different?
  • Light-tap stamping produces crisp, complete coverage on both line and solid stamps.  There's no question in my mind that you'll notice a difference, especially on solid stamps.
  • The pads are juicier and are designed to stay juicy longer.
  • No more "dip" in the middle of the pad.
  • The Firm Foam releases more ink on your rubber stamp that the felt pads.  When using the Firm Foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads.  Please note: if you are using the ink pad frequently (leaving open for extended periods of time), you may need to re-ink your Firm Foam more often.
  • They have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off.
  • Ink pads come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, German)--just choose your language, peel it off the back and add it to the front-bottom side of the pad case for easy identification.
  • The pads are the same patented flip top case design.that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad stays moist.
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors
Please Note:
Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new Firm Foam Pads.  These colors are:
  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Tempting Turquoise
All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved.  While using the new ink formula in the old stamp pad is fine, Stampin' Up! does not recommend using the old ink formula for these five colors in the new Firm Foam Pads.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!
