Mixed Bunch - Again

Good morning, Stampers!

With today being the last day to order out of the Occasions Mini Catalog, I thought I would show just one more card I made using the Mixed Bunch stamp set along with the coordinating Blossom punch.  I sure hope this stamp set and punch makes the cut for the new annual catalog!  There are so many possiblities you can have with this stamp set and punch combo.  I just love how Stampin' Up does our thinking for us by offering us our stamping supplies that coordinates with each other!  For just a small pop of color, I added the little butterfly.

Here is my recipe for today:

  •  Stamp Set
    • Mixed Bunch
    • Oval All*
  • Card Stock
    • Blushing Bride*
    • Very Vanilla
    • Melon Mambo
  • Classic Stamp Pad
    • Blushing Bride*
  • Punches
    • Blossom
    • 1" Circle
  • Accessories
    • Embosslits Die
      • Beautiful Wings
* Discontinuing items

This is the inside of my card and the envie.  I believe I got a little carried away stamping the floral design inside my card - but I like how it turned out.

I hope you liked my card today.  Please leave your comment below - I enjoy reading them.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!

Change Is Good: Stampin' Up! Retiring Accessories List and Berry Blossoms

Before I get to today's card, I want to share with you what we have gathered from Stampin' Up! regarding the long list of retiring accessories list.  Please keep in mind that the retiring products are ONLY AVAILABLE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.  Many items are discounted!  That means items will sell out so PLEASE DON'T WAIT!

STAMPIN' UP! RETIRING ACCESSORIES LIST BY CATALOG PAGE NUMBER
STAMPIN' UP RETIRING DEFINITIVELY DECORATIVE LIST

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed.  This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.  They will be available for customer order on June 1.

In addition, please note the following changes in the new catalog, which explains some of the products appearing on the retired list:
  • Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered).
  • 12"x12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered.
  • 12"x12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections.
  • Any item with an asterisk next to it is being reconfigured.  An example of this could be repackaging, as in the example above of the markers.
  • Craft Ink Pads (other than the black and white per above) and Craft Refills will no longer be offered.
  • Classic Ink Refills (other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors) will still be available.
  • Stampin' Spots are being discontinued.  Stampin' Up! may possibly reconfigure and sell some of the Classic Ink Spots.
  • Other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors, the Stampin' Up! colors are NOT retiring.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION:

Two items that were included on the Retiring Accessories List are not actually retiring.  The lists have been updated to remove these items:

208     108360     Craft Scissors

208     103579     Paper Snips

Thank goodness!  I cannot imagine my life without my paper snips! LOL!

A FINAL NOTE:  I have pretty much been one to embrace change and very excited that the new catalog will fill all of my stamping dreams of dishy new stamps, creative tools, yummy paper and splashy embellishments!

Now, without further adew, here is my card for today:

Tah Dah! LOL!

I decided to use a little more DSP that will be retiring for today's card.  My inspiration came from my good friend Robbie Rubala.  You can visit her blog at http://inkedx2.blogspot.com/

Turtle and Co.

Good morning, Stampers!

Today's card idea came from Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine called Stampin' Success.  I used the same colors as theirs but I used different dsp and card stock and I changed the focal image.

The focal image is from the stamp set called Turtle and Co.  Each year Stampin' Up! designs a stamp set to allow a portion of the sale of that particular stamp set go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Stampin' up! donates $3 to RMHC to help bless the lives of those whose children have serious illnesses.  May is your last month to buy this year's RMHC set.  Get it for yourself and share it with all of your family and friends before May 31-and make a difference.  For more information regarding the RMHC, visit: http://www.rmhc.org

Here is my recipe for today's card:

  • Stamp Set
    • Turtle and Co.
  • Card Stock
    • Daffodil Delight
    • Garden Green
    • Melon Mambo
    • Pumpkin Pie
  • Classic Ink
    • Daffodil Delight
    • Garden Green
  • Punches
    • Itty Bitty Punch Pack
    • Boho Blossom Punch
    • Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
    • 3/16" Corner Punch
    • Crop-a-dile
  • Accessories
    • Designers Buttons Brights Collection
    • 3/16" Brads Brights Collection
    • Basic Pearls
    • Bakers Twine
  • Tools
    • Table Top Cutter
    • Simply Scored Scoring Tool
    • Bone Folder
    • Paper Snips
    • Tombow Multi-Purpose Liquid Adhesive
    • Mat Pack
    • Stampin' Write Marker - Daffodil Delight
    • Paper Piercer
    • SNAIL Adhesive
I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Be sure to check out my blog this Sunday, April 15, 2012 for the Going, Going, Gone list for the stamp sets that will be discontinued.  The stamp sets will be available only through May 31, 2012.

The retiring  Accessories/Decor Elements Lists will be released on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  Retiring Accessories and Stampin' Up! Decor Elements (being discontinued) will only be available while supplies last.  Be sure to shop early!

Have a blessed weekend!

Until next time...

Mixed Bunch

Good Morning, Stampers!

For my post today, I used the Mixed Bunch (item #'s 125535 w 125537 c) stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog which ends in just 18 days (April 30, 2012).  I also used the coordinating punch called Blossom (item # 125603) from the same mini.  Dont you just love how Stampin Up! coordinates everything for you?  If you want to order these items, please make sure you order them soon, as they may be discontinued when the 2012-2013 catalog comes out!

I thought I would try a little something different for my card today.  I cut a piece of the Concord Crush card stock (item # 119792) which is one of the 2010-2012 In Colors to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" as the card base.  Then, I cut a piece of the Whisper White card stock (item # 100730) to 5 1/4" x 8" - folded in half to fit on the base.  I used the Blossom Punch and popped out a flower out of the Concord Crush card stock and attached it on the inside of the card.  It is a little difficut to see, but I used the Concord Crush Classic Ink (item # 119785) and stamped the flower and the front of the card.  The sentiment stamp set is called Loving Thoughts (item #'s 125843 w 125845 c) also from the Occasions Mini.  To add a litle bling to this card, I added two basic pearls.  These can be found in the 2011-2012 IB&C (item # 119247).

I hope you like my card today.  Just let me know by posting a comment below.  Have a great Thursday!

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!

Berry Blossoms

Good morning, Stampers!

Several of you have contacted me asking for ideas for using up your collection of Designers Series Paper.

Shown here is a really quick and simple card for you today.  I used the Berry Blossom DSP (item # 122350) and Whisper White card stock (item # 100730).  The Berry Blossom DSP will be another collection that will be discontinued in the new upcoming catalog.

This is the inside of my card.  I simply cut a strip of the Berry Blossom DSP, then I again used my wonderful paper snips (item # 103579) and cute out a few of the flowers on the same sheet of DSP.  I adhered everything on my card by using SNAIL adhesive (item# 104332).

For the envelope, I just cut a piece of the same sheet of Berry Blossom DSP and attached it to the back flap of the envelope to carry the same theme as the card inside.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me anytime and I will post my answers.

Be sure to leave me a comment below.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!

Fabulous Florets

Hello, Stampers!

I decided that I had better start using up some of the Designer's Series Papers (DSP) before Stampin' Up! discontinues them in the new catty that will be coming out a month earlier this year!  Hooray!

For the outside of the card, I stamped the leafy image in the Wild Wasbi Classic Ink.  Then I stamped the outline flower in Pacific Point and cut the flower out with paper snips and attached it to the leafy part with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I just love our paper snips!  They make cutting out intricate patterns a breeze!  I then attached the focal point to the Beyond the Garden DSP then attached those two pieces to my Pacific Point base.  I was thinking I needed a little something extra for the front.  I punched out a piece of Wild Wasabi card stock with the Extra Large Oval Punch and punched out a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Large Oval Punch and sponged the edge with Wild Wasabi.  I punched a piece of Pacific Point card stock with the daisy shape from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and placed the smallest pearl from the Basic Pearls pack.

For the inside the card, I cut a piece of whisper white card stock and stamped the outline flowers along the left side and attached it to the card base.

Here is my recipe:

  • Stamp Sets
    • Fabulous Florets
    • Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • DSP
    • In the Garden
  • Card Stock
    • Pacific Point
    • Wild Wasabi

    • Table Top Cutter
    • Simply Scored Scoring Tool

I hope you like my card today.  If you do, please leave me a comment below - I enjoy reading them.

Summer Smooches Petite Purse

Hello, Stampers!

Here is my purse that I made from the Petite Purse L Die.  The paper I used is the Summer Summer Smooches DSP (I am loving this new suite).  To show you how large the purse is, I have a Turtles Pecan candy inside the purse, just like the one shown with the purse.  I believe you could even put 4 chocolate nuggets in it also.  To add a small touch to the purse, I punched out one of the flowers from the dsp scrap with the flower punch from the tiny punch pack and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional.  I hope you enjoyed today's post.

Until next time...

Happy Stamping!
